2006 Senior All-Star Boys

The Third Annual "Prep Bowl" Senior Indoor Soccer All-Star Game was played Saturday Febuary 24 prior to the Storm's 1PM game versus the Baltimore Blast. This year featured Two Senior All-Star Teams facing off against the Chicago Catholic League's Best. We are happy to say the CPSL improved to 4-0 beating the CCL 4-3 in the first game and 8-2 in the second.

Congratulations to all of the CPSL Senior Boys who competed in our Second Annual Senior All-Star Indoor Soccer "Prep Bowl" Game at the UIC Pavillion. The CPSL All-Stars stole the show with their dramatic come-from-behind victory over the CCL All-Stars. In what resembled an Old Fashioned English Derby alot more than an All-Star Game, our boys represented the CPSL well as they fought their way back from a 3 goal deficit to defeat the CCL All-Stars 8-7.

Last year showed that the CPSL/CCL is no ordinary Senior All-Star affair, and it showed right from the get-go. Both teams definitely brought their "A" games. The boys came out with showing a little more flare than usual, but after a couple of tackles everything was back to bussiness. The CPSL All-Stars scored first when Norman Astedillo played a smart pass off the curved wall that Danny Arroyo one timed by the helpless keeper. The CCL responded to the challange and scored two successive goals before the end of the first quarter, to take a 1-2 lead into the first break.
